Milton Keynes Half Ironman (Cowman) for Willen Hospice

I am competing in this years Half Ironman in the scenic Emberton Park on July 6th. the distance is a gentle 1.9k swim in the lake a relaxing 91k bike ride around the lovely Olney countryside and a quick trot around the lake a few times 21k to be exact. UK Ironman for Macmillan Cancer support

Finally I will attempt the biggest challenge of my life the full Ironman this is a terrifying prospect.....2.2mile swim followed by a 112 mile bike ride and then a full marathon 26.2 miles. I need to finish inside 17 hours to be an official finisher...can I do it? I have decided on Macmillan Cancer after months of deliberation and many fabulous suggestions for some very worth charities. The decision was easy in the end when a she-ro of mine Dee Heymerdinger died of cancer after being one of Macmillan's biggest fundraisers. It is with her husband Tim's permission that I have the honor of swimming, cycling and running in her name, to continue the great work she did for this charity. Flora London Marathon 2008 for Children with Leukaemia.

I am running this years Flora London Marathon for Children with Leukaemia. I completed last years race in 5 hours and raised over £1700. This year I intend to finish in 4 hours and raise even more money.
